In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar.








In a separate medium bowl, combine the cooking oil, maple syrup, molasses, and vanilla extract.





Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.


Fold the butterscotch or chocolate morsels into the dough.


Form the dough into balls, pressing an extra chocolate morsel into the center of each, then shape the dough around it and flatten slightly.

Place the cookies on the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart, and bake for 9 minutes.
