Cut the tofu into uniform rectangular pieces. Place the dried mushrooms in a bowl of water and soak until softened, approximately 20 minutes. Reserve the soaking liquid, then squeeze the excess water from the mushrooms and shred them. Slice the bell peppers into thin strips.

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a portion of the cooking oil. Pan-fry the tofu pieces until they are golden brown on all sides, then remove and set aside.



In the same skillet, add the remaining cooking oil. Sauté the minced garlic and shredded mushrooms until fragrant. Add the bell peppers and stir-fry for one minute.






Pour in the rice wine, chicken bouillon, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and the reserved mushroom soaking liquid. Return the tofu to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 4 minutes.








Whisk the cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water and stir into the skillet. Increase the heat to thicken the sauce. Finish by tossing in the chopped green onions and sesame oil, then serve immediately over steamed rice.
