Heat a wok over high heat and add the cooking oil, heating until it is nearly smoking.


Add the minced garlic, sliced chili peppers, and the white parts of the onion to the wok, stir-frying for 10 to 15 seconds until fragrant.





Add the shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for approximately 20 seconds or until they turn pink and opaque.



Pour in the fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, chicken, and stock. Add the green parts of the onion and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.








Stir in the fresh basil leaves and cook for another 20 seconds until the leaves are wilted and the shrimp are perfectly cooked. Serve immediately over hot cooked rice.
