Add the clams to the pan and pour in the wine. Cover and steam over medium heat until the clams open, approximately 10 minutes.



Remove the clams with a slotted spoon and set aside. Strain and reserve the cooking liquid, ensuring no sand remains.



Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the linguine until just al dente, about one minute less than the package instructions.



In the same sauté pan, heat more olive oil with fresh minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Add the remaining raw clams and the reserved cooking liquid. Cover and cook until the clams open.





Remove the cooked clams from their shells and return them to the pan along with the butter. Bring the sauce to a boil, then toss in the cooked linguine and mixed herbs. Cook briefly until the sauce coats the pasta.
