Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot to 175°C.




Pipe 4-inch lengths of dough directly into the hot vegetable oil, using kitchen scissors to snip the dough from the piping bag.




Fry the churros until they are deep golden brown, then remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.



While still warm, toss the churros in a bowl filled with cinnamon sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
