Drain the potatoes using a colander and let them steam dry for a few minutes. Preheat your oven to 220°C.



Place the boiled potatoes on a baking sheet and use the bottom of a heavy glass or a potato masher to gently smash each potato until flattened but still intact.



Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper. Roast in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden and crispy.






While the potatoes roast, whisk together the hot sauce and a touch of olive oil in a small bowl to create the finishing sauce.





Remove the crispy potatoes from the oven, drizzle with the prepared sauce, and serve immediately.
