Trim any excess fat from the chuck steak, then place the meat into a Ziploc bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, seal or cover, and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours, turning occasionally to ensure even coating.



Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry. Press black pepper firmly into both sides of the meat.


Place the seasoned steak on a broiler pan and broil under high heat for 10 to 12 minutes per side, or until the desired level of doneness is reached.



Remove the steak from the broiler, let it rest for 5 minutes, and then carve it into thin slices against the grain.
