Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer for 30 minutes to fully extract the color and flavor.


Remove the pot from the heat and allow the infusion to steep for an additional 20 minutes.

Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
