Rub the seasoning mixture thoroughly over the surface of the beef roast.

Place the seasoned roast into the slow cooker and add the water to the bottom of the vessel.



Cover and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours until the meat is tender.

About one hour before the roast is finished, combine the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the mixture thickens.



Brush the roast with the prepared glaze two or three times during the final hour of cooking, and serve the remaining glaze on the side.
